CinePort Technology
The CinePort is a mobile graphics card that plugs directly into your laptop's PC card port (CardBus) and allows you to add up to four additional displays to your laptop. When combined with your laptop's built-in display and built-in external monitor port, you can run up to six displays from one laptop.

Other products that enable multiple monitors on a laptop merely add additional monitor ports to your system without adding any additional processing power. The individual monitors are treated like one big monitor, which means that you won't get all the advantages of a true multi-monitor experience. The end result is lower resolution, lower image quality, and a slower system that is suddenly forced to do far more work without any additional power.

The CinePort adds an additional Graphics Processing Unit to help manage the additional monitors. The end result is a rich, vibrant image displayed on fully independent monitors. Navigate seamlessly across all connected displays while running different applications on each display, or span one program across two or more displays. Your laptop will use the power of the CinePort to help manage all the information on the additional displays.

CinePort Compatibility
The CinePort uses a PC Card slot to interface with the laptop. In order for a laptop to be compatible with the CinePort, the laptop must have an available PC Card slot (also know as a PCMCIA expansion slot.) Detailed compatibility information and guidelines.

CinePort DM2 HD Edition Overview
CinePort DM2 HD allows you to power two additional digital, analog or digital HDMI displays to your laptop with resolutions up to true 2048 x 1536. Powered by a Matrox Millennium Parhelia series graphics card, the DM2 HD adds high resolution outputs to your laptop.
